• #4
I was thinking about bidding for like £50 or something.
now I need to decide which power ranger I would most like to look like and how I would afford/justify the rest of components...and whether to make it my tark bike or HHSB -

to ship to france, spain or uk is only 75USD

I had a Visp 10 gear racer off Ebay last year. It cost £120 which equated to 5 weeks train fare, it lasted much longer but is basically a Unipack equivilant. The frame was okay but it had very cheap components and old sizes, ie 27 inch wheels etc. Maybe these frames are better quality but personally I would rather go for something old.

Take off all the stickers and you've got an ok looking modern track frame, not pretty tho, and I'm with Henry, pink FTW,

Really?

Well, put in a 'testing the water' bid and ended up winning it. Only just over a 100 notes for what seems to be a pretty light ally frame, hope the stickers peel off and aren't laquered though (although they're not too hideous). Seems like a bargain at the mo'. Whoever said it would be cheaper than the BIN price was spot-on, can't believe that the BIN price on other frames the same from the same seller is about $350 IIRC, that just seems way too steep!

Slack chain on sample build anyone?
-
• #14
It does look like it should cost $350 doesn't it? good advertising on the seller's part to ensure they'll make profit.
the fact that it's made in China worry me a bit, sweatshop frame anyone?
edit - whoop, it's from China, not made in China.

Correct, made in Taiwan but so are the vast majority of frames at a certain level these days. I wonder how, or even if, the Buy It Now frames will sell, $380 does seem like way too much to me. I might track them in my ebay account just to see if they sell or not.
Out of interest what do people think a frame like this should be worth? Bearing in mind that the BIN price in dollars works out at about £238.
