That Kalavinka is indeed very nice. Too nice. How about we club together and smash it to bits. It's bikes like this that make our bikes look shit... how is that fair or acceptable? Me and Mrs Bridgestone used to be close, she drew admiring glances from my fellow fixie geared wheelers... she'd pull flirty skids and I'd thrill at her jaunty backward circles. We were safe, though, always used Dura Ace no matter how carried away we got. Now, thanks to this culture of body worship her self-respect's gone, says her Ourys are whack, she won't let me take pics of her, and she's started to self-harm.. there are scratches all over her once lustrous bod, she's demanding Suntour, says it's what all those NJS bitches are wearing, and she refuses to be seen out anywhere near brick lane. Applauding stunnas like Miss Kalavinka who shamelessly parade their assets in front of the forum is only encouraging bikes to demand ever more unrealistic japanese bling, to hate themselves, and to die miserable lonely deaths etc.

There are support groups. Classic Italian track bikes are taking offence at the Japanese interlopers instead of coveting their shiny new parts.

Don't talk to me about Italian track bikes. Between you and me, I've been seeing one on the side for the past 18 months, and believe you me she doesn't whinge half as bad as my Japanese wife. At first she was all like, oh i want campy this campy that. but i was having none of that fancy-threaded latin petulance, not from that flame-haired lo-pro!
You know how I tamed that mama mia?
I, literally, saddled her with a Brooks. A pear-shaped leather slab of English stiff upper lip tradition. Then I shackled her slim wheels with jazzy, yankee doodle Phil Wood hubs. It was an anglo-US pinser movement, an irresistible double whammy of horsey John Bull bulldog spirit and the loud, irresistible bugle call of the American Dream.... ever since she's never looked at another man or yearned for far off pastures of red, white and green, etc, blah. -

:(
Since posting that, I've actually developed a budding appreciation of his music, if not his church-burning murdering nazi ways.
