deep as in it fitted a 650 wheel comfortably when i had to run it on my 700c frame.... so pretty deep

about 80mm from point of insertion to the fork to the possible longest drop

its a dia-compe something or another and you can have it for 7 quid since ive just found that it has one or two small cosmetic scratches from where i fitted it and the proceeded not to use it!
