• In response to CB #99.Not being brave enough to jump reds does not come into it.I have too much respect for the effort my Mother & Father invested in my formative years and for the skill & knowledge of the medical profession that finally got me on my feet and walking at age 7yrs.This has made it possible for me to look back on some of the plonkers that I know(new-past tense:-deceased)who did not have any regard for any aspect of their risky pastimes. As for not being brave enough to swear,Excuse me,I was brought up in one of the "hardest" parts of Liverpool, where the power and content of your ability to F & Blind was often a precursor to dishing some ones already ugly face in- with a Knuckle Duster.I was saved from a life of crime by a good education, and the knowledge of easier ways of earning money than playing Tick with Hatchets, and constantly looking over my shoulder.Coupled to that, the ability to to tell someone to go away in short jerks without failing my educational achievements, helps considerably to keep my 64yr old body moving in the direction of becoming a Centenarian Cyclist.Happy & Safe Cycling to you all.
