mech hanger rear yes, see picture:

  • Very nice.

  • hi kai,
Have you checked the serial number / year of production on the bike? Some Holdsworths were made by Bill Hurlow, if it's one of those you may be selling yourself short!

  • Jacqui, where can I, with the serial number check who made the bike?

  • Not sure if it helps, but I had an old Holdsworth frame..... and by searching the site below managed to pin point down to the year of manufacture if that helps....

  • I could be wrong (I'm definitely not an expert) but the Holdsworths that Hurlow may have been involved in would have been earlier than this model - probably about a decade earlier in the early 1950s. Not an expert though so happy to be corrected!

stupotq - you did have an old Holdsworth frame. I think I have it now!

  • i'd tentatively say this is either a "Holdsworth Elan" from 1982, or, more likely a 1976 "531 Special"

  • not a special - as it has the cable guides on the top tube which the 76 special doesnt have.
Also that special doesnt have mounts for shifters and I think the specials from around then all had campagnolo dropouts - the frame above obviously has simplex ones....

I think they put it at late 70s or early 80's

  • Really nice frame, unfortunately I've got two Holdsworth's already, can't really justify getting another.

  • go on, get another one

  • bump

still got the frame, give me a shout if interested

  • Looks nice pm sent

  • still got it - bumping this for the last time

  • i'd love to buy it, my size and all, but overpriced.

  • not overpriced at all - holdsworth...!

  • good price

  • seems overpriced to me, I paid little more for my merckx, but I'm no expert but maybe the proof is in the bumping?

  • ...

  • no reserve? why?

  • (possibly misplaced) confidence in the marketplace
