Hey, I just wanted to put my sixpence worth of info in...I am the friend that Jacqui(who happens to be Canadian) called over to verify that it was indeed not my brompton being walked away with.
Yes, there was another proud Brompton rider there aside from yourself, but you probably didn't see me on mine as i arrived after the gates were locked under the cover of darkness. My little mule is also black, with a rack & huge front bag.I am truly sorry that you feel that you were being persecuted for being a brompton rider but i feel you owe her an apology for the astoundingly harsh & unflattering description when actually she was being a considerate & vigilant friend, I may have seemed a bit flippant but thats because I'd just pulled another brew from the front bag of mine, so knew my bike was not in your hands & i had a nice fizzy fresh brew to chug... So as you can see, at no point were you being singled out for ridicule.misunderstandings happen, esp at the end of an evening....
However, your post was really rude & has a nice line of jovial racism which is just as pathetic as any turgid stigma you have about being a brompton rider. Sorry but that is how I see it.
