LC02 TKF - Dangerous F*cker

Cycling east down bayswater road this morning and got to the lancaster gate one way bit (triangleabout?) turned the corner and came up against a lorry trying to cut me up (normal as people always get the wrong lane there).
I went into the far right lane to pass it and a maroon tranist van came up the right hand side, on the hatchings / bus stop, to try to cut me up (forcing me pretty close to the lorries wheels). It had to slow down as there was a bus parked on the hatchings and so it cut in really close behind me and started chasing me up to the lights. After the lights, when i'm still trying to carry on along bayswater road, the guy pulled up beside me and started edging me towards the parked cars on the left shouting at me to stop so he could hand out the appropriate punishment for being ahead of him on the road. I jammed on the brakes and he swerved back into the lane he wanted and drove off.

I managed to catch up with him later and grab a picture. Does anyone have any experience of reporting this stuff to the police? Should i just HTFU / TILMF?

well the cops can always do him for his numberplate being partially obscured, so it might be worth it.

I think you actually have to be killed/maimed for them to take action over an incident though

I have read the comments on commercial drivers and their idiot attitude towards cycles..
let me give you confirmation..the truck drivers may think they are kings of the road..however they are tossers..I drove HGV1 for more miles that I care to remember..If you could listen to the bullshit they spew out in a transport office you would go mad..the standard of driving is on the whole average at best..
Now to a little infomation which could save your bacon!!!
usually on the near side of a artic trailer you will see a little button marked TRAILER BRAKE if you pull it out ( I am not suggesting you do this !! ) the trailer brakes will lock on..
I had to preform this last resort tactic a few years ago..the trucktosser was not happy..however..
look for that trailer brake its there..learn the position of it..one day as a last resort in a James Bond type effort it may save your life..
By the way dont take te p..s out of this info..there is always another side to every story..I had a friend who ran over a cyclist who CUT ACROSS his path at a traffic light and the tachograph proved his speed and reaction time..however Mr O did not drive HGV again
