Wait. Eventually they'll send someone out. That person will ask to come in and look around. Politely ask to see their search warrant. Then look apologetic and shut the door in their face.
Every time I've done this (ie twice) I've been safe in the knowledge that I don't have a TV (or any receiving equipment) and they can send out as many door-knockers, "detector vans" and threatening letters as they like. So your mileage may vary. But basically telling them to fuck off seems to do the trick.
