• Edit: Having thought about it £125 might be a bit optimistic so £100 whole bike or I will split:
Frame, fork, bb and headset - £60 ONO
    Wheelset - £30 ONO
    105 levers - £10
    Crankset - £10
    Offers on other bits

This was to be my new project bike but sadly I am too busy and skint so offering her up here.

This is a Raleigh '531 Club' frame (54 c-t-t, 54 top tube) with 531C forks built up with a Shimano groupset from the time: 105 headset and brake levers; Exage 500 EX brake calipers; Exage 400 EX front and rear mech and levers (14 speed); and 600 (Ultegra equivalent) hubs laced to Rigida SHP600 semi-aero rims anodysed charcoal grey. It also has a useable-but-scruffy Turbo Gel saddle, pointy Shimano pedals with clips and straps (which also contain a fixing for some sort of clipless system) and decent enough Sakae Custom Road Champion alloy handlebars. Lovely Raleigh embossed seat stays.

This was available as frame-only from the 1989 catalogue (page 7). I removed the decals as they were tatty: http://www.cyclemuseum.org.uk/ncl/pics/Raleigh%20catalogue%201989%20(V-CC%20Library).pdf

The bike has always lived in the dry but has developed a few small rust spots, particularly on the underside of the down tube and around the lugs. I love the retro paint job so I was just going to treat with some rust remover and then clearcoat but it would obviously look great with an Armourtex, too. Everything runs smoothly and true. Brakes aren't amazing but usable. Frame has rear mudguard eyelets but forks don't.

From a very cursory glace I think that the inner ring would give a good chainline for the cog of a standard 120 mm track hub, so it might just need a new rear wheel/ hub to convert.

£125 or offers around that by PM, please. Best offer by 6pm tonight secures. Ideally collection from London SE14 but I can bring it central/ east if necessary. Cash on collection and I will donate £5 from this sale to the forum.

Not sure if you got my message from earlier, just joined the forum to try to post to you! I've just noticed that I might not be able to PM peple yet, so you may not have got it...

I'll take the frame and forks at the price you state above if they're still available.

    Cheers,

    C
