  • Don't you feel like a right sad bastard taking a picture of your bike? I did the other day.

You want a picture of your bikes for insurance purposes. That and it's nice to see how the bike changes shape with the years - i.e. how your riding style changes.
    Unfortunately I have no camera.

  • ^ my brother(what a tool) is a photographer. If you live local to Wolves I'm sure he would do it for you for free. TBH he did some for me a few years back - crikey what a load of pissing about - though he is a fanatical photography boffin.

Failing that Fursty ferret does photography and is also a forum member, based in Wolves, he would do it just cos he loves bikes etc

  • a long time in the building process, but finally here ...

    My new Pomp

  • Double seatpost bolt?
what are the wheels you got?

Hey BG, yeah I got a double seat clamp bolt, I had a load of trouble trying to source a single 'IN STOCK' seat clamp while doing the 'build'. I had it from CRC in the 'FLOOD SALE' and it was only £1.50 ! The plan was to take it into work and make 2 singles if you will by milling it into 2, as with all plans - it didn't go to plan and is still as you see it.

The wheels I had from Graham Weighs - top north west track guy - used have all my kit off him when it was Deeside Cycles, when they used to have quality track kit & wheels in stock. They are Mach 1 Omega on flip flop black cartridge hubs, £75 delivered - take a look

I will post some better wheel close ups later

Look good, what do they weigh? Looking to buy a new set for my summer bike as it currently runs tubs which could be more practical.

BG next time I take em off when I'm tatting about I'll weigh em and let you know

  • well it is a singlespeed bike.

seat as far forward as possible for barspins hops & airs, one of the most pointless but fun tricks i've had to re-learn after 3 years off

after re learning all the old shit im gonna learn some new shit and might even make a video so i can show off like all the other vanity riders who need their 5 minutes of youtube fame. Not.

  • Not Single or Fixed, but re-born today with my spare race wheels - not much weight going on the panniers until I get some proper touring wheels.

  • ^I like the frame, cool monostay thing going on

  • My new pride and joy.

    More pics... here!

  • That frame is niiiice.
fron wheel looks a bit funky though. Is the back a 650? I've never seen a road/track bike with a big wheel up front.
Does it hail from foriegn climes?

  • ^just a weird camera angle isn't it?

  • ^^^700c front and back and I know what you mean about the 'wheel'... well in my opinion it is merely the white tyre that has it looking somewhat unbalanced ( and the funny camera angle! )... once I can find an amber wall or fully black tyre that doesn't rub the down tube or fork crown it'll be on in a flash! Need something decent in a 700 x 20c variation. Any recommendations?

Also yes it is foreign, Belgian to be exact... handbuilt by Jan Van Dalen.
