KMC half link on Izumi chain?

Is this advisable or are you supposed to keep izumi with izumi and kmc with kmc??

i'd personally not use one on it.

Using a mismatched joining link killed three of my best buddies in 'nam when the link exploded and shot chain shrapnel through the jungle. Don't do it.
