Cheers Fred, both the BB's I've tried are JIS accordning to Sheldon (Shimano and Ritchey), attached are a couple of snaps including the comparison with the drive side which I think shows significant enlargement.
I think 'fit for purpose' only applies to business sellers, I'm sure private sales are caveat emptor. Still, nothing ventured!
