Office space in London

  • Hey so I've just started this new Temp job after my operation, it's good cuz I can just sit around and look for work while I'm here - But here is the deal.

I know there are a lot of creative types on this forum, who possibly work for themselves, or from home, etc and might find this useful. Basically it's a Social Network with a physical hub in Carnaby St, Sort of like a very posh serviced office. I'm not sure about their business model, but it's stupidly cheap: £29 a month gets you a desk, meeting space, High speed Wi-fi, and amazingly, unlimited tea and coffee (the good stuff). There are large screen Macs to use as well. If I was a freelance designer, I would be all over it. They use a virtual currency and also operate a knowledge economy where people can trade services and knowledge through the system.

I'm not trying to promote their business particularly, so please don't shoot me down for posting this - I really think it could be useful for some of the people on here! If anyone wants an introduction, or more info let me know - it's called HubCulture.

Here's a pic of part of the interior, as you can see it's pretty peaceful!!

  • Oh yeah and there is secure space for bikes out back.

  • I know the guy who started hubculture... very nice bloke. There is one in New York as well. Can definitely recommend.

If anyone wants to talk to him etc... Search LinkedIn for Stan Stalnaker.

  • Cool yeah Stan is a great guy!

  • I think the plan is to roll out a couple a year, London, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, LA, you get the pic. They're also gonna do pop-up pavilions for Ibiza, Cannes, etc.

  • Yeah.. he invited me to the Ibiza thing last summer... not sure Ibiza is my thing though!

  • Red and White wine - Just say you're a friend of Ben's
