  • I built up a couple of carbon wheels a few weeks back with deep section rims. They had bladed spokes and alloy nipples. The nipples were hidden or internal which were basically upside down. I used an internal nipple wrench or driver. It has two hexagonal and one square driver and was fairly easy to use. It was my first time using this tool and a bit scary using top end components plus the guy watching me while I did it.

    The only thing you have to remember is that it's "the right way" round when you turn it rather than the other way when you use normal nipples. Hope that makes sense.
