Unfortunately on the way home though my right pedal sheared through the treads and stripped them clean :( My cranks are now fucked :( And the lovely lady was riding it at the time and is TRAUMATISED!! Claims "I'll never get on my bike now :("

how does that even happen? did your pedals seize up?
