For Sale: Vintage single speed raleigh 22 1/2"

70's Raleigh record. single speed conversion 22 1/2"

Frame is Raleigh own brand but no sticker probably 18-30 or whatever, good n strong anyway. Had a few scratches n whatnot so I masked the stickers, sanded and primed the scratches, sprayed black and then laquered over the lot and re-did gold lug lining, not perfect but not bad.
Chainset -46t Raleigh,
BB- original, stripped and greased,
wheels- took off the crap old steel rims and put on these Maillard High flange(stripped and greased) on rigida 27" rims, axle re-spaced and wheels re-dished.
Tyres - Kenda 27x1 1/4, very little wear.
Chain and freewheel - NOS velo, looks nice, sounds nice, probably not top quality.
Brakes- weinmann centre pulls, good condition but with original blocks and new cables inner and outer, plenty of life but not the most effective around, modern block replacements would improve performance.
New BMX levers- promax, all metal, seem good n solid.
Stem- original raleigh,
Bars - ITM, cut down, slight sweep, new cloth tape.
Headset- original, stripped and regreased.
Saddle- unicantor, leather, worn but decent.
Original chrome sturmey seatpost
Pedals new off a fuji but lost one dust cap.

Overall, all working ok, nothing brilliant, pub bike/first bike. Am living in Birmingham but could be collected on monday eve from near Hammersmith bridge or possible meet later in the week. Looking for £125, offers welcome.

hi gabs, not splitting the bike, you can get similar new pretty cheap, ie less than £10, I bought raleigh ones new of ebay for less than a tenner or you might get lucky in Halfords.
