i may be wrong but i believe that it is compulsory to wear a full swimming wetsuit for triathlons, those suits are for when organisers deem it too hot to be safe to swim in a full wetsuit. check the rules for the triathlon you are doing though.
also if that is made of wetsuit material there is no way you want to be wearing it for the swim and bike legs as you would dehydrate so quickly it would be unreal.
i would buy one if you think you might be doing any more triathlons but you can rent them as well.
