haha!
ok, the reason I think it's too big is that 21" is 53.5cm. Aparrently (and according to the stalkers) ldngrrl is 5'5" so is gonna need a 50-52 frame. Probably.

anybody got any experience woth campagnolo vento wheels...ala this one...would they hold up to london commuting??
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=26101
also there is no detail of spacing - i need to fit 100mm
I had em on a road bike that got thrashed around London, and never had a problem, though i didnt use it to commute

I agree. Spooky.
You'd be ok but it's not ideal. A 50/52cm would be, probably.
That said, everyone's proportions are different, so who knows.

@prav
I am touched by the positive comments from ldngrl and mrsmyth, but this was a joke.
Dale posted that in the anti-porn and mentioned me to take the piss a little...
I slapped it in this thread for a laugh.. and I'm glad someone finally took the bait!
...It would be pretty undesirable to thieves. hmm.

This is what I have been working on. Started off as a beater but has ended up as my main bike after a run in with one of London's fine taxi drivers!
Still needs a bit of work but it's coming along.

i've got Mirage on my 1982 Hill Special.
it's not the quietest ever, but it does the job fine. i'm not exactly going to be doing the TDF on it or anything though.i'd like to upgrade eventually, but i have no need for anything better at the moment.

cheers,
so given the choice between this:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=26101and that:
http://www.cyclesurgery.com/1025730/Mavic-Aksium-Wheel.htmlwhat would be the general consensus or is there a better option still (no doubt there is a variety of opinions in this) for a front wheel commuter (budget around £60-70)? Any guidance on this would be great as I am a complete noob when it comes to this sort o thing...

Personally for what you want, i would go for a Mavic Open Pro build - i am pretty sure that you could get one done for 70-80 quid - will be tough as teak
E.G this
congratulations!
