Do I return Fedex mail for custom charges?

Posted on
  • Just got some mail from FEDEX with the customs charges for something i bought from the states about a month ago ~$350 (so decent customs charge, ~£50). I haven't opened the letter and it is not quite correctly addressed, hence why it probably took so long to reach me.

return it unopened with not at this address?

  • I have an ongoing dispute with them for 3 years.

I don't live in England and they want me to pay import duty to HM Customs. The product (Dry suit) was never imported in to the UK.

Be wary as Fedex won't contact you again, it will be a debt collection agency. I have them fighting with each other at the moment.

I am happy to pay the charges to my local customs however fedex can't be arsed to arrange this.

  • it arrived in 2 days, FEDEX sends custom charges in the mail after it had been delivered.

  • I'd pay it, lot of hassle for $50 otherwise surely?

  • open it, fill it with dog shit, return to sender.
