The Ipswich to London (at least the proper ones coming from Norwich) trains have a proper guards van at the back (i.e. furthest from the Liverpool St concourse) which will fit hundreds of bikes in. There will be no problem getting bikes on. You'll probably have to let the station people know, because the door needs to be unlocked by the guard.
You might need to book a (free) ticket for it - (I did when I took my bikes to Norwich though and the train people said there was no need to have bothered with the bike ticket.)
