Happened abroad -> cyclist dragged under car for 4 km

this is sooo incredibly f*cked! the one thing i find comforting besides that she seems to get out of this alife is that in norway, both the drivers face serious time as the (traffic) laws are rather strict and with in comparison one of the highest punishments in europe for traffic things.

I'm no expert but I think theres some sort of zero tolerance rule regarding car/ped collisions. So that even if you decide to throw yourself infront of a car, it would still be the driver, that is liable. This means people often walk out into to road, without really looking, as motorists should be alert.

Wether or not this is a good rule is a bit of a tricky discussion point really. All I can say as a foreigner living in Norway, is that it scares the hell out of me. I subsequently dont drive very much.
