i wonder if the trick setups will go to freewheel in the future?
700c freestyle not fixed freestyle?
when you learned a proper 180 on the big bike...then a freecoaster hub could be nice.
what do you think?
Goto freewheel on 700 and you need at least one brake which imo goes against that stripped simple look that most trick setups are going for. I think freewheel would be a step to far in the bmx direction.
Gearing too tho could take the bike too far in the direction of bmx's. I see a lot of trick setups running a really low gear which surely cannot be practical for anything other than trick riding.
For me the appeal of riding a trick orientated setup track bike is that i can still ride my bike at decent speed and over a decent distance. I have 44/17 at the moment and cannot imagine going much lower while still keeping the versatility of my bike.
I guess that's maybe because i'm never going to be *that*into tricks. I suppose some people might not be that into riding at a decent pace or any further than a couple of miles.
