i think you should be careful posting a pic with out solid proof.
I got jumped once when I was younger and beaten up by someone because I was pointed out as the criminal who did a bad thing. (for the record it was not me who did the bad thing and it was not even the person who had the bad thing done to them that beat me up)

What will they do? Last time I said to a copper there's two kids around the corner nicking a scooter they got on their radios to report it dilly dallying and the culprits were gone along with the scooter

I don't mean try to get them to nick them on the spot. You can give them information that can enable them to focus their detective work and prepare to catch them. The police are definitely interested in gangs.

I think you should report him to the police for asking questions. And for nicking sweets from Woolies' Pick and Mix just before they went into liquidation - coincidence? I think not.
