that old grass polo bike is a little extreme for what we call hardcourt bike polo (also know as urban bike polo). straight forks would be fine providing there was no toe over lap. bar spinable is best too for most i guess.
and typical ratios are about 42-48 gear inches. bikes need to be tough, rims especially. cranks are 165, maybe even 160. a lot of people are trying bmx crank set-ups too for the compact drive trains. um... yeah, hope that sheds a little more light. 3, 2, 1, POLO! :D
