I'd say they're doing exactly what they should be. Getting in front of a car so they can be seen and lead; getting out of the way of bikes coming down the left from behind, so they're not stuck next to cars that may want to turn; and getting in your way ;)

But then they wheeze off up the slight incline overtaking each other 3 or 4 abreast
v e r y s l o w l y (like what I did with that text there? it's a gift.) when I just want to blast past the buggers.

Oh and then they do all this while overtaking the 38 bus without bothering to look over their shoulders
