I think they are brilliant! Good work. :-)

Good work on the fashioning but from experience of converting my own cycling shoes I don't think you would want those on a fixed without a more robust strap. Even more so if you were brakeless.
One question: how is the cleat bed (that the cleat screws into) attached to the sole?

They do look quite a good idea - I may try something similar with some old flip-flops I've got lying around...

that sounds like a very bad idea

i was thinking doing it to some wellies

better idea but would render them leaky. unless they were saftey wellies with mid sole plates, then it would keep the HSE bods happy :)

Will not work, you need something solid to screw the cleat into so the whole thing doesn't rip out from the pulling and twisting forces exerted on it. Even more so if you are riding fixed when there will be extra stresses from braking.
That is why I use a complete insole from an old cycling shoe so you get all the benefits of a bike shoe with something you like walking around in.
Also why I asked the OP how the cleat-plate is secured to the shoes she has made.

with all due respect to the OP, those ladies high-heels do not look strong enough for clipless pedal usage.

Thats OK- but I did wear a pair the whole of last Summer, and I did a training day on the track with them just to try it. So mine were fine, but like I said, they're not exactly a training shoe!
As for the plates, they're hammered in

As for the plates, they're hammered in
I think that would do it, good stuff.

These are finally ready, My first pair is going for sale on LFGSS only** (unless they haven't sold by my next stall- Sun 21st June). **
What stall? Where? Is this a cycle jumble per chance?
Please let it be as I'm doing nothing on Sunday and have money burning a hole in my pocket.
