its not that bad commuting on a trispoke i did it for about 6 months, i rode with it on pretty much 24/7
now i dont have it anymore i really notice the differences, which is mainly now, without the trispoke i dont get thrown about by the wind and dont feel the wind half as much, but i miss its nice whurr-ing, i didnt get any more punctures then a clincher(it was a tub) and changing a tub is not too bad if you use the tape not glue.
the trispoke was fairly strong i was never worried about breaking it and i dropped a fair few times with it on and it didnt get any structural damage so i think its not that bad an idea as it looks well nice. -

yea but i also left out i was riding a rear as a front which had been cut down and had lots of prior use, and the fact i didnt just commute i fucked around on it alot

You're insane!!!
