Can we have a discussion on bladed spokes?

DeathBike's got bladed spokes (unintentionally, BC couldn't get the lengths I wanted for some reason and just chucked 'em on) and they're lovely, they look rad... Expensive compared to normal spokes tho', but ^^^ they've already said that, so not exactly news...

really? damn. how'd that happen? was it to do with bladed spokes? or the dreaded chupacabra?

I was trying to get a dog's teeth off the neck of my dog. Stupidly tried to prise its jaws apart.
On reflection it would have been more effective to squeeze its bollocks as hard as I could...
Hindsight = 20/20. My fingers - 7.75/8.

in theory if you got all the blades offset at an angle akin to a aeration fan,
you could make your own home-made bike fan,
given you have a cycle trainer at hand

anyone got suggestions for good value bladed spokes?

ACI do a fairly cheap bladed spoke. At a quarter the price of cx rays or aerolites they might be worth a shot. Probably not as strong as Sapim and others but I believe ACI spokes are still pretty good. Are they not dogsballs spoke of choice?
