On the way back from central London, I've noticed that on some days after 5pm groups of cyclists ride around Regents Park. This can be quite good as there is less traffic and riding in a group is a lot more fun than solo.
Less traffic = more freedom for car drivers to be pricks = cyclists get crushed, I cycle along the East/Camden side quite a bit and cars love to hammer it along those big, long, camera free, traffic light free stretches - had a few close calls over the years.
