Framesaver available from Ceeway.

Frame saver is a hydrophobic coating not unlike that which WD40 produces. The difference is that Framesaver reacts with air to form a permenant coating which sticks to the steel. Personally I could'nt get hold hold of any Framesaver (no one will post it, fecking nasty chemically stuff speaking) so I used WD40. Spray it in every opening, slosh around, and leave to dry, before building up the bike.

Ceeway will post Framesaver in the UK and it's far superior to WD40. If you want instant gratification then go and buy some Waxoyl from your local car accessories shop. WD40 is a light penetrating oil and just not up to it.
You don't want to learn this lesson the hard way.

Anyone know if waxoyl affects paint? I don't want to botch my nice new paint job before I've built the frame up. Ta.
Before fitting everything to my refurbished frame, should I stick something into the tubes for extra protection? If so, what? WD40?
