I can only apologise. I did give it a quick once over, but has been stored for a fair old while. If you'd given me a bell could have sorted you out.

oh it alright to be honest, I'm going to scrap the wheels for a decent hubs and white velocity deep V, so it's not exactly essential.

ruddy nora. Big plans for the flyer.
Hey ed let me know how your plans are taking in the handlebars eh? ;)

The handlebar are gonna stay despite not feeling anything on my hand after cycling 9 miles on a flat front tyres (thought managed 1 hour exactly from New Cross to South Wimbledon, so that's pretty good on a flat tyre).
I polished the handlebar up heavily, it look brand sparking new.
Gonna take it to Armourtex to get it sandblasted and powercoated.

Hi all,
I am trying to build one of these up as a single speed relatively cheaply - i've never tried building a bike up before so this'll be my first project.
What wheels would you recommend for it? I also need to find a good bottom bracket/chainset combo that works for it. Any suggestions? At the minute all I have is the frame and headset...

Mavic CXP22 rims on SJS/Formula/Zenith hubs (all the same) would be a good starter combo.

thanks ehren- i will go and look around now. all rather new to me but i'm accumulating bits and pieces from here and there- hope some are usable!
I've just arrived back in Wimbledon.
the bike's a decent project, what really fucking annoying is that after 2 minutes of riding down old kent road, the front tyres burst! I managed to cycle all the way from New Cross Gate to South Wimbledon on the rims with the tyres protecting it a bit.
