If you find a way, let me know! I was thinking a silver paint marker would be the only way...

fuck that shit, get some of these!
-

won't be possible as you will have to break the hubs into 3 pieces, chrome the barrell, then put back together. unless they are the very old bayliss hubs that are riveted together

plus one
the rechroming might if your lucky cost around 40-50 so unless these hubs are silky smooth and special it might be better getting a period new old stock pair that are worth keeping forever. still keep the original hubs wrapped in paper in a box and when your grey hairs sprout and you want to be really romantic you will still have the option. when was the frame made, do you think?

I've seen one or two set of hubs that have come up that are from the era (the frame is a 1952 F H Grubb), but none are quite so highly flanged and luvverly. Or 32 / 40 holed.
crap!
they come up all the time, just have to be patient

Yeah but is it just an airlite, or something more special? Hardens and maybe the Philips might be worth restoring, but maybe like coppiThat says, one day but not now.
But if it's Airlites, I got a decent front one if you want it... then you'll only need to find the rear...

Any one **Re-chroming ** Pedals???
london chroming on the old kent road, take out the spindles/axles and bearings. but again will the cost out weigh the value of a restored pair delivered to your door.
sorry if i missed something.

just out of interest tizwas, but what frame are these hubs going on??
Does anyone know of anywhere that can chrome hubs?
I have some bi-metallic (aluminuminiumium and pitted chromed steel) vintage hubs that are crying out for refurb, before being put on a restored frame. So far, Mercian (my usual port of call for things like this) have said that they do not chrome hubs.
