Rock Climbing . . me!? I can barely climb on and off my bike sir, let alone up sheer cliffs! ;)

I reckon for a very low-car count, if not carless, the Western Isles of Scotland would be a good bet. Mull, Coll, places like that.

Never been to Formentera, always meant to go but got sucked into taking E's and hanging about at Space 'til all hours ;)

I LOVED Maine when i went there years ago with some pals who were living in Cambridge. They then went back every year after. MMMM Lobster ... Ayuh! Mount Desert Island was ace, great trails and beautiful.

Try Princes Islands in Turkey, no cars but horse-pulled carriges, push bikes and lots of hikes...
