I'm reading a book about Major Taylor at the moment, it's a fascinating read.

just thought it would be a nice bike to ride for flat journeys. its fixed with a single rod pull lever.

there is something of a transfer on the headtube but its hard to read. looking at the seat stays and how they join the seat tube this frame is very typical of frames you can find on the bay described as 30's frames. the front forks have holes rather than dropouts.

Where do you get those tyres.

Look like the Schwalbe ones, they come standard on the Guv'nor.

They are indeed but where do you get them thats the quetion tried to find them in the past but never found them.

it took me a little while to find them but it was good to find the and know they have more. they are the exact ones that are on the pashley guvnor.

note they are not cream all the way through like tyres of old so at some point the black is going to show through,,, worth noting.
