Yep. Would have been worth the 5 minute walk. I think it was reasonable of me to buy vaguely labelled stuff based on Jan's word, on the assumption that he was telling the truth, but meh we're getting bogged down in the detail. The whole situation wouldn't have arisen in a decent bike shop, or even a shitty one like the one I used to work in - we wouldn't sell stuff that was poorly labelled, and we wouldn't mislead customers when asked specific questions even if it meant losing a sale. BLB are total hucksters and I can't believe they're still in business. The only reason I went was because it was en Hipster Spice Route, anyway if this topic has been done to death before I'll happily watch this thread sink.
