And, Ihatelaw, if this has happened numerous times before why did you keep going back? If you are unhappy take it out with the shop and demand a refund or something. BLB has been dissed to death on 'teh interwebz, it aint gonna make any difference to them.
If this Jan fellow has really pissed you off this much, just go and throw a hissy fit in the shop spilling that thick oil over some expensive suede saddles. Court over an un labelled bottle of oil being more thick than vaguely described verbally? really?
