  • Its usually unadvisable to get tyres narrower than your rims.

Vice Versa with tubes, its tricky to get something larger that the tyres neatly inside, but narrower ones can easily expand.

  • What about the Halo Twin Rail Courier or Fyxation Sessions? How do people rate those?

  • Utfs ffs!

    • infinity FFS...

  • Ultra Gatorskin 23 front, Vittoria Randonneur 28 rear ftw

    Peace

    Kurt

  • I weigh 100kg as well, and ride 23s without any problems! Just pump them up enough and you're good to go..=)

I'm riding Vredenstein Tri Comp and real happy with them, they're fast and they haven't shown any skidding wear yet (I only learned how to skid recently, so that might have something to do with it)..

  • Sorry it's just too soon for another tyre thread.

    Sink

  • bump

  • double bump

  • camel hump

  • Having read the title, when did the OP met MrSmith??

I'm taking over. If anyone calls something a fixie in a title, I expand it to fixie-skidder.

  • I don't like this new development at all, I think the forum should enter another period of consultation before this kind of decision is taken ffs

  • wjhat the jesus fucking holy megalithic shit is a fixie-skidder?
    some sort of fish dinner?
i think i ate one some time ago and it didn;t go down well

  • Hi,

New here, I have a 28 - 622 tyre which I want to replace. Can I still a 700x23c on there or is this too narrow?

  • 622x13 rims are narrow. Most 700c rims are actually 622x15 (Open Pro's for example).

You could go right down to a 20mm if you so wished. I run 22mm front and 23mm rear on 622x13 rims for track and both are fine.

  • is there?!

I'm doing it, wondering if my bike will blast into a thousand fragments anytime soon....

  • erm, is that really bothering you?

did it really need a whole new thread for?

there's nothing wrong with it, but i wonder why you've made this choice?

  • riding with different size tyres is a one-way ticket to hell.

  • what a strange question... tell 'im damo

  • It makes your bike 2mm slacker.

    What a fucking mess.

  • Get this... on one bike I run 23 front, 25 rear. On another I run 23 on both. On purpose. Go figure.

However, 25 front, 23 rear has been shown to cause reverse resonant frame oscillation. You are putting yourself and other road users at serious risk.
