Axle too short and no alternative?

It's the generic Formula/System Ex hub.

There is a longer axle available for it, can't remember where from. It's come up before, so a search may reveal the answer.

Try SJS (they offer an own-brand version of this hub).

I'm fairly sure it's related to the Surly hub, which is available in wider spacings.

Yeah you can definitely get one, my axle is long enough for 130mm spacing.
