I like the look of the tyres (off topic I know- sorry!)
Can they be repaired by mere mortals?

How about $50 each. So 50 x 2 equals £90
-
• #6
Jeez.....i didn't realise they'd gone up so much.

Makes two for £400 look good value given the tyres and the condition, albeit we know that all Aerospokes are, in reality, sold for $50.

IGMC.er, no
I have all the paperwork, audit trail of emails, invoice. These are genuine - happy to have aerospoke themselves verify that to the buyer.

Not really. Easy enough to mount but pretty much like tubs when they fail. Sealable with glue but bigger cuts mean its sewing time...

and LFGSS donation made...
Brought over New Year 2008 from the US by long suffering wife, ordered direct from William Micol at Aerospoke. Have all the paperwork.
I rode them quite a bit for the first three months of last year, mainly commuting and a couple of fixed gear time trials. Didnt want to wreck the rims under heavy breaking when carrying panniers (yes, I'm a sad sack who rides fixed with panniers and brakes and sometimes even a child seat). Hence took them of early summer and they've been malingering since. Personally I quite like the ride and they're fun on te flat when you have some momentum. Plus they are of course hipster-tastic.
Writing this advert reluctantly as I dont really want to get rid. But a. I'm too old, b. I'm becoming a fairly serious trackie/roadie and I'm pairing everything back to either full on racing kit or workaday commuting c. the clincher - I'm moving out of town next month and locking up an aerospoke at a train station is just asking for trouble.
Photo of front here (below) and the rear is at work, will post photo of rear Tuesday when back at work if not sold by then.
Mounted with a pair of very nice Tufo tubular clincher C Jet specials with valve extensions. Fast. 30 quid each new:
http://www.velomax.co.uk/displaydetail.php?product_id=828 BIg fan of these but starting to go back to gluing inspite of common sense.
Just rang BLB who say that current new prices are 305 and 315 for front and rear, delivery in three weeks.
So is 400 pounds with the tyres fair? If not make me an offer. Based SW London would rather not ship, sorry.
