They're called tarck bikes for a reason; they don't work on the road. I don't have time to go into all the details right now but basically there's not enough room to fit gears at the back, and nowhere to hang a derailler and all the cables. Plus there's no fittings for mudaguards and panniers, so definitely not road-usable IMHO.
