anyone up for climbing next week?
i climb 2-3 times a week, have rope, spare harness and even spare boots...if you've got small paws and partial to getting grim feet
westway is best for me, arch is also ok. castle a bit of a pain but can be done.
happy to teach, happy to crank it with a pro...
pm if interested.

I just did the intro course recently with my girlfriend, it was excellent. And castle is a fab place no doubt. I think I might more frequently use the London Bridge place simply because I don't need a partner and its very convinient for me, as its very much on the way home.

Bump. Sort of.This thread came up when searching for Tunbridge Wells and it's just a happy coincidence that I want to get down there to climb..
Fifty, what sort of route did you have in mind to get down to Harisson's rocks? My housemate and I are planning to do most weekends there this summer. Cycle down on Saturday morning - have lunch, climb till it's dark, crawl into a tent then have a bit of a morning climb then make our way back to Haringey. He's been to the sandstone there a few times but drove up from Brighton so neither of us know the route down from the smoke. I'm sure a quick look on the gmaps site would sort us out but was wondering if you had any tips? -

Just joined the forum and pretty excited to see a climbing section, I boulder myself, and i think Mile End has a pretty good set up for that, but the Arch at london bridge is good, gets cramped tho, the castle... its ok, probably going to be at the arch tomorrow night if anyone is in the neighborhood

As in rock climbing, hiking or cycling up them (On or Offroad)?

So, i might need a lot of teaching soon- as I might be starting a job, which though will fully train me- i suspect that some rope knowledge would be good.
I'm good at knots.
would anyone like to help me?on a side note- obv not possible in uk
one of the things i know I've got to learn is self arrest with ice axe, and without. which sounds fun! -
