they got the smokers, they got the drinkers in the park and they will get the cyclists who dont want to wear a helmet because the silent majority always get beaten by the vocal minority. After 20 years without a helmet my brain is still in my unsplit head.you are of course too stupid to decide for yourself, compulsary reflective vests anyone??
I don't get it. WTF are you talking about? Smoking indoors was banned due to very clear health risks backed up by a miriad of Scientists and whatnot (yeah the atmosphere in pubs changed but would anyone really want to go back to smokey pubs except a few smokers?). Is drinking in parks actually illegal?
Helmet wearing is now and will continue to be voluntary. So what if more ppl are wearing them, doesn't mean you have to. As far as I know nobody is telling you you should wear one and nobody is saying it should be a legal requirement. So wtf is your point? Do you not like the fact that other ppl are wearing them?
Also as this thread shows the silent majority are most likely the pro-helmet lobby as the anti-helmet lobby bang on about it way more than any pro-helmet person I've ever met. In terms of actual cyclists. Pro-helmet non-cyclists are mostly clueless nutters.
for the record I'm pro helmet but I'm only pro me wearing a helmet, the rest of you I couldn't give a fuck about what you wear or don't wear on your head when riding a bike, plus I'm quite sure most of you can decide for yourselves (mostly).
