how can a bike with risers look 'fast'? if anything to me it looks slow. an upright riding position that makes you sit up like a big sail catching the wind, only it's slowing you you down not speeding you up. to go fast you need your chin on the stem, pursuit bars or drops.
short upright bikes just remind me of noddy commuter bikes because the contact points are in the same position as a too small track bike with risers.
or is it street parlance in that 'Bad' or "illin' are actually good and healthy, therefore 'fast' is actually slow so should be interpreted as a derogatory term?
so it should be "man that bike is slow" ?
next time i see a hipster twatting along beating into a headwind going nowhere fast i'll know what to shout
"Yo! your bike is Fast!"
