    Me too, I once sold a White charge spoon saddle as a "blue" version.

  • Much better than the other way around. I once wore white jeans to the pub on a newish Brooks saddle. This is not a good idea if you don't, for some reason, enjoy local children, builders and assorted passers-by pointing and laughing at your arse.

  • THIS IS A SERIOUS RESPONCE TO A VERY COMMON PROBLEM>,Hi to all of you out there,and especially those poor sods that have been suckered into WHITE SADDLES,PALE YELLOW SADDLES or any of the other PALE CONTINENTAL SHADES to park your botties on.DO NOT EVER-EVER-EVER-NEVER- NEVER -NEVER clean your precious possessions with detergent,it is CHEMICAL even the one that's kind to mummies hands and washes a zillion dishes for next to nowt will murder your by now GROTTY LOOKING WASTE OF HARD EARNED WONGA.If it is only lightly soiled from your immaculate white strides you should only ever use THE LATHER off PURE SOAP in TEPID WATER.I REPEAT ONLY THE LATHER.Sturgene,or Stardrops are the easiest to obtain,but you could raid your Grannies cupboard for some LUX SOAP FLAKES.Modern Leathers are treated and finished with special lacquers that allow the leather to breath but offer some protection from soilng.They should be cleaned and fed with a hide food/conditioner product,ideally from the manufacturer of the hide.If you have colour transfer/ingress from your clothing,BLUE & BLACK DENIM is the worst of the lot for this problem it is already to late it is dead."MYSRIP".WASH IT,STAIN IT BLACK or DARK BLUE polish it up and FLOG IT ON ebay as:- used,died(dyed)and revived,FREE TO GOOD HOME,postage paid.
