Ultra Sport are really shite. Gatorskins are ok on the front. Have another look to see exactly what you're running.
You'll want a combination of a grippy front tyre (Maxxis Refuse/Continental Gatorskin) and a hard wearing rear tyre (Top Contact/Vittoria Randonnuer).
