next saturday a group of 6 of us will be riding the sea2sea route in one go.
it rides from Whitehaven to Sunderland, via some pretty big hills. just over 140miles in total.
we will be raising money as we ride for the mountain rescue service which is a very needy cause indeed.
why? in april last year my best friend Dave, my brother Matt and I went to the pyrenees for a 5 day trip. we rode over 500 miles and crossed 14 different mountain cols all used in the tour. on our way back we discussed the coast to coast as our next challenge.
unfortunately, the night we got home dave died in his sleep aged only 23, and a very promising road racer. We are riding in his memory with his dad joining us for the last 70miles.
