a lot of good advice here. i find that my eyes really suffer with the hayfever. a cold washcloth over the eyes when i get home works wonders. sadly, i'm on beconase nose spray, which works okay and doesn't stop working if i have a drink. it does make everything smell of lilys though.

You'd be amazed by how changing diet effects hayfever.
Especially dairy. It's not been as bad since I cut it out.
I think alcohol (beer) could be a problem.
I drank cider last night and it seemed a little better...Maybe that was the higher percentage though!

If you have long hair it can just collect the pollen throughout the day and all stays around face height.

not really.
not when i think that "natural" medicines are a load of snake oil.perhaps i could/should have phrased it better. but i stand by my sentiments towards homeopathy.
But he didn't ask for your opinion, he asked for help and advice regarding a natural remedy. Hence, you not only phrased your reply poorly you also missed the point totally. It probably would have been better if you'd said nothing.

I tried this once, wasn't strict enough to take it regularly so it didn't do a huge amount for me, but my uncle swears by it.

+1 For chemicals.
I'm on two of the one a day jobs, and this cuts out most of the symptoms.
Best advise is to stay away from Piriton though. That stuff is like knock out gas. Also not all together safe if you're riding, as it makes you so lethargic that your reactions can be impaired.

I'm so damn glad I don't suffer with this - my folks and my bro all get it and it looks like a right pain in the arse.
I pity you poor feckers.

although i share your dislike of homeopathy, there is far more to 'natural' medicine than homeopathy, you just jumped on the word 'natural' and went mental. chill.

Hayfever??? HTFU and get a real ailment!
On a serious note I used to take Telfast back home. Not sure if you can buy it here. Strangely I dont suffer the symptoms as much in London.
TelFast 180s are the same as what I take which is Fexafenadine Hydrochloride 140mg. They are the dogs bollox of antihistamines, and they work a treat for me. Allows me to function in the summer.

Snort some pepper, rub some grit in and punch yourself in the eye. Then you can join in the fun ;)

Fuck me. If any one ever asks me what hayfever is like again, I shall forevermore use that analogy.
Top marks.

And do 'full-body' sneezes non-stop for 10 minutes, preferably in a public place.
People will look at you with disdain, but what you'll really want them to do is kill you.

The same as you starting an argument over nothing then?
Personally I use Clarityn. I know it's not a "natural" remedy but I take one tab each morning with breakfast and it's absolutely top drawer!

I find it infuriating when people try to advocate chemical usage when someone has expressly stated that they want a natural route. Believe it or not people coped perfectly fine for many many years before SKBeechams and the like started producing chemicals synthetically.I was fully aware of the irony in my statement.

salt is a "natural" poison...
yep.
dyson as well. though be careful emptying as it'll have a mass of allergens.
