@Adam....i never had bottle bosses anyway...i think i'm gonna make the bag about an inch narrower at the back and an inch wider at the front. I'm guessing you're referring to Epic Designs bags from Alaska who make all the bags for Iditabike riders....they're a great company and it's their ideas that got me going :)

Yep, Epic Designs, couldn't remember the name earlier. They make awesome stuff.

I guess if you wanted to take a bottle or two you could always get one of those mounts that attaches to the rear of your saddle (designed for time triallists, I think?). Not very cool, but rather practical.

I'd love to use a framebag for commuting, but you can't exactly take them on/off the bike very easily and they make it difficult to lock it up so a saddle bag is more practical in place of a courier bag/rucksack.
