Seeing them being made is the kind of thing that appeals to me- I've just done a little reading on rotational moulding.
It would seem that the cost is in the initial tooling for the mould, and of course either the machine or time on someone elses machine.
Neat way of creating an object of that shape.
That aside my personal thought, and looking through the thread above, is that our perception of what such a unit should cost (and therefore what we would happily buy one/two/etc for) and what the pricing actually is set at has clear air between the two points.
I'm sure the designer never intended on a stack 'em high and sell 'em cheap approach that said!
