RIP this is awful news, when will these HGV related deaths stop! I mean seriously, what can we do to help prevent this happening to more cyclists, maybe this isn't the place to bring this up, but i'm getting more and more angry and frustrated about all these seemingly preventable deaths that keep involving HGVS!

I don't understand why the frequency of these awful accidents isn't being picked up by the national media/high profile politicians at this point. RIP.

condolences to the friends and family of the victim, but also I hope the HGV driver is ok as well this will affect him/ her for the rest of their lives, they never set out to cause an accident that led to a fatality but they now have to live with it.

Has this been a confirmed death? The last report was that the lady was in hospital getting the best help?

as a local, I am still not certain she died, totally conflicting views. I know the bike was destroyed. I am still hoping, my thoughts with all her family and friends.

Where does the information that she died come from? From the note on the wreath left on the railings?

Someone up there said the police confirmed it at a meeting last night.. I've been down to the railings and an unconnected cyclist has left some flowers expressing how the rider 'should not have died'
It really is becoming a far too familiar story. such sad news, condolences to the grieving.
